A union is a community of support. Uniting together makes us stronger. The problems that cannot be solved by negotiating alone can be solved by negotiating together. Find allies in the union and work together to achieve your demands.
You have the right to unite
The right to organize is guaranteed by the Constitution. Retaliation for attempting to join or for having joined is prohibited by union law.
Unions can negotiate with the company
Unions have the right to negotiate collectively with companies. Companies are obligated to negotiate in good faith. Unions can use a third-party organization called a labor union instead of the courts to guarantee this right to negotiate. Although the voice of one person may be small, by joining a union and uniting, companies will be unable to ignore our voices.
Union is a community
A union is a community where members support each other on an equal footing, not a service that fixes problems in exchange for money, like a lawyer or a doctor. By connecting and supporting each other, we are empowered. By supporting others, you will be proud of yourself, and you will receive support from other union members.
We have partner lawyers who offer one free consultation to union members. Your problem is an issue that affects all employees. The three parties, the lawyers, we, and you, will work together as a team to help resolve your problem. The union and the lawyer will also work together to provide support in English.
